Why Small-Format Displays Can Be Difficult to Maintain
The difficulty rarely comes from one product: it comes from the count. A cigarette or tablet section lines up dozens of references in nearly identical packaging, where only the brand, the dosage or the shade changes. Shoppers compare at length, pick up, put back, pick up again — and rarely return an item exactly where it came from.
Weight makes it worse. Light packaging offers no resistance: it pivots, falls flat, slides into the neighbouring lane. On a track taken out to 22 in, the rear units become invisible long before they are the last ones, and staff record an out-of-stock when the inventory is simply out of sight.
Keep Products Front-Facing
Automatic facing solves this at the source. The mobile pusher, 1 in wide by 2.75 in high, applies steady pressure toward the edge: the moment an item leaves, the next takes its place. The extension mounted on it, small or large depending on the merchandise, holds packaging upright rather than letting it lean.
Reduce Mixed Rows
The transparent divider draws a clean boundary between two references. An item returned to the wrong spot meets it instead of starting a mix that spreads down the length. Its rounded front corners avoid a sharp edge at hand height, exactly where shoppers reach in.
Improve Shelf Maintenance
Without pushers, tidying a small-format section means pulling every unit forward. With COMPACT the shelf holds itself: upkeep comes down to restocking, done from the front with nothing to dismantle, and stock levels read at a glance from the aisle.
Two base formats
Regular track
2 in wide, with depth made to measure up to 22 in. Its lined zone receives the transparent divider and can be cut away when the configuration calls for a narrower base.
Narrow divider base
0.39 in wide, with depth likewise made to measure up to 22 in. It holds the divider in place where every fraction of an inch counts on the shelf.
An Envelope Cut to Measure: 48 in Wide, 22 in Deep
COMPACT is not ordered in standard sizes. System width is made to measure up to 48 in, and track depth up to 22 in. Those two limits define the envelope inside which everything else is settled.
That depth is worth pausing on: it exceeds the Prestige, which tops out at 16 in. A cigarette or medication aisle often keeps many units behind the first one, and the pusher's travel has to carry them to the edge without running out.
System Width
Tracks sit side by side to cover the available space. How many depends on the width of one item and the number of facings targeted: it is that calculation, not a size chart, that determines the order.
Track Depth
Made on request up to 22 in, it is set against the usable depth of your shelf. A track that is too short leaves dead space at the back; one that is too long will not fit.
Dimensions Validated, Never Assumed
Final measurements are settled according to the product, the shelf and the number of facings required. We do not build a configuration from a description: we need your real measurements.
One Mechanism Only: The Spring
Unlike Prestige and Robusta, which can be configured with either a spring or a pull-tab, COMPACT offers the spring alone. That is not a limitation: it is what its purpose calls for.
On light articles, a pull-tab would add nothing. The calibrated spring holds continuous forward pressure and advances the next unit with no one having to step in — neither shopper nor staff. Fewer parts, fewer gestures, less to explain in store.
Continuous Pressure
The moment an item leaves the shelf, the next takes its place, squared up and at the right height. The row rights itself hundreds of times a day, with no visible effort from the team.
Why No Pull-Tab Here
A pull-tab is for drawing several units forward at once, useful on heavy formats or on aisles replenished in rounds. On a pack weighing a few grams, it would add a component without solving a real problem.
The Spring Stays Out of Sight
Housed inside the track, it does not break the transparency of the assembly. Shoppers see the merchandise advance; they do not see what advances it.
Mobile Pushers, Extensions and Clear Front Retainer
Three parts work in relay between the back of the track and the shelf edge. The mobile pusher carries the pressure, the extension matches the shape of the product, the front retainer closes the front line. Remove one and the other two weaken at once.
The mobile pusher measures 1 in wide by 2.75 in high. It is the support onto which the extensions mount, offered in two formats depending on the merchandise being advanced.
Small Extension
At 1 7/8 in wide by 2 7/8 in high and 7 mm thick, it holds small-format articles in position. This is the usual choice for packs and slim cartons that need nothing more than a firm bearing surface.
Large Extension
At 2 5/8 in by 3 1/2 in and likewise 7 mm thick, it suits taller or heavier products. Its more generous contact surface keeps a slender package from tipping forward at the end of its travel.
Clear Front Retainer
Standing 2 in high at 1 mm thick, it holds articles at the front while preserving their visibility. It is also the plane where price information reads best, at eye level, at the moment a shopper compares two neighbouring references.
Small Formats, Light Products and Drawers
The COMPACT data sheet names four families: cigarettes, small medicine cartons, cosmetic products and hair colouring. What they share is light packaging, a high density of references and a shopper who reads before choosing.
That profile reaches beyond the open aisle, however. The small footprint of the tracks and the transparency of the assembly make the system usable anywhere small articles have to stay ordered in an enclosed, shallow space.
Cigarettes and Tobacco Products

What is included in the delivery?
Tracks, dividers, mobile pushers, extensions and the front retainer are supplied according to the configuration chosen. Mounting screws are not included: they are added to suit your project, because the fastening method depends on the fixture the system sits on. When should another model be chosen?
As soon as the merchandise leaves the light, small-format range. Heavy or bulky packaged goods belong to Robusta, whose bases reach 24 in; refrigerated and frozen aisles belong to Blizzard. Prestige covers ground adjacent to COMPACT but on shallower shelves, with a choice between spring and pull-tab. Some articles should never be pushed at all, whatever the model: vehicle batteries and heavy liquid jugs in particular.

COMPACT is not a single part but an assembly of display pushers in which each element solves part of the problem: advancing merchandise, defining the lane, holding lead articles back, displaying the price. The whole holds because all four work together.
The configuration is built by choosing each part separately. A cigarette wall and a colouring section may use the same component families in very different proportions.
Shelf Pushers and Lanes
Tracks install side by side across the required width, each carrying its mobile pusher and extension. The display pushers formed this way work continuously, with no daily adjustment and nothing to operate.
Shelf Dividers
Transparent, 2 or 3 in high at 1 mm thick, they separate rows by brand, shade, dosage or range as the category requires. Their rounded front corners avoid a sharp edge at hand height, and they keep light packaging from slumping into the neighbouring lane.
Label Holders and Price Display
The clear front retainer closes the front line and carries price information where shoppers look for it. In a category where packages resemble one another, a price that reads in the right place shortens hesitation markedly.

The system assumes no particular banner: what determines the fit is package format and available space. A configuration proven on a colouring wall transfers readily to a spot behind a counter, provided the measurements follow.
